Alf Uwe Belz has been appointed managing director oft he proFagus Group since 1 January 2017. Before he joined the company, he worked for several years as interim and project manager. All in all, Mr Belz can look back on almost three decades of professional experience; he spend 14 years with large international companies an 13 years with a major mid-sized branded company.
He started his career in 1987 with Siemens in the semi-conducter area. Following various positions in Munich and Paris – as part of a joint venture with IBM (1991 to 1995) – he was responsible to set up one area of the Infineon chip factory in Dresden, where he later on took various senior management positions in production. In 2000 he joined the BRITA Group in Taunusstein as part of the executive board. As CTO he supported the company through a strong period of growth. He was responsible for several major national and international projects; finally he was responsible for a company-wide restructuring project and for the establishment of a new business division.
Mr Belz studied at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz between 1980 and 1987 and graduated with a degree in physics. N 2016, Mr Belz gained an Interim Executive Management certificate from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel.
